Ahlulbait (AS) University has completed its early preparations to establish a number of medical and educational departments and to fulfill the requirements for launching postgraduate studies in several disciplines, in order to support scientific innovation and instill the concepts of entrepreneurial education.
The Assistant President of Ahlulbait University, Professor Dr. Bassem Al-Oqabi, stated that the university has completed the requirements for establishing new scientific departments, including Dental Technology and Cosmetic Techniques, and the establishment of the College of Education with departments in Arabic Language, English Language, and Art Education. He pointed out the university's plan for vertical expansion by establishing postgraduate studies in a number of scientific disciplines, most notably Blood Transfusion, Dental Implants, Industrial Pharmacy, Law, English Literature, and Sports Medicine. 
He explained that the goal of these horizontal and vertical expansions is to support scientific innovation, instill concepts of entrepreneurial education in students and researchers, develop their research skills, respond to the requirements of the labor market, and provide the community with scientific specializations that will undoubtedly contribute to enhancing health security. He affirmed that the university is keen on building a modern educational system capable of creating a developed society that can adapt to current and future requirements.
Al-Oqabi clarified that all procedures will be carried out once the ministry's approval for the establishment is obtained, noting that the university has fulfilled the requirements stipulated in the regulations and laws of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, represented by the material, scientific, and human capabilities required to establish the scientific departments.
