In line with the principle of promoting occupational safety and enhancing the healthy environment in educational institutions, the College of Dentistry at Ahlulbait University (peace be upon them) held a scientific lecture today, Tuesday, 24/2/2026, titled:

“Ergonomic Hazards for Healthcare Workers and Dental Practitioners,” at the college’s () hall.

The session was presented by Consultant Dr. Haider Mohammed Hassan Al-Attar, who addressed the most significant ergonomic hazards faced by healthcare workers, particularly dentists, resulting from incorrect working postures, repetitive movements, and long working hours, as well as the resulting chronic muscular and joint injuries.

The lecture also included a presentation on key preventive methods and scientific recommendations related to improving the work environment, adopting correct postures during clinical procedures, and raising awareness about the importance of preventive exercises and reducing professional stress.

The session was attended by a number of the college's faculty members and students, who engaged with the topics discussed through comments and questions, emphasizing the importance of such scientific activities in fostering health awareness and preventing occupational injuries.
